Weeds and thin turf follow the calendar, so one visit rarely fixes them. A program spreads treatments across the growing season in rounds: feeding to thicken turf, and weed control timed to when each weed sprouts or grows.
Applications are handled by trained staff. We tailor the plan to your lawn instead of selling one package to everyone.

General practice for cool-season lawns in northern Delaware. Your plan is set after we see your lawn.
Each weed has its own timing.
A summer annual that sprouts in warm soil. Prevention in spring works best.
A broadleaf weed with a deep taproot that spreads by seed.
A low broadleaf that shows up in thin, low-fertility turf.
A sedge that grows faster than turf and likes wet, compacted spots.
Lawn size, the number of rounds, the weeds and turf condition we find, and whether you add aeration and overseeding. We give a written estimate after looking at the yard.

Cool-season lawns are commonly fed in several rounds from spring through late fall, with the fall feeding doing the most for root growth and color. The exact number depends on your soil, turf and goals. We lay out the rounds and timing in your estimate instead of one fixed schedule.
Crabgrass in summer, plus dandelion, clover and nutsedge are common. Crabgrass is an annual that sprouts in warm soil, dandelion and clover are broadleaf weeds, and nutsedge is a sedge that thrives in wet, thin turf. Each one needs different timing and control, which is why a seasonal program works better than one visit.
Follow the label and the instructions your technician gives you after each visit, including how long to keep people and pets off the lawn. Applications are handled by trained staff. If you have specific concerns, tell us when you request your estimate so we can plan around them.
Feeding helps turf fill in, and a thick lawn crowds out weeds on its own. For thin or bare areas, overseeding adds new grass. Many lawns do best with fertilizer and weed control in the growing season, plus aeration and overseeding in early fall.
Yes. Many customers pair seasonal treatment rounds with weekly or bi-weekly mowing so one team handles the lawn. Mowing and treatments are priced separately, so you can start with one and add the other later. Starting with mowing is common, and treatments are added once you see how the lawn responds.
