Community Associations

Community landscaping for Delaware HOAs and managed properties

Residents notice the entrance, the common areas and the streetscape every day. Green Acres maintains those spaces for community associations and the managers who oversee them, with one crew that learns the property.

A board needs more than a mowing schedule. It needs a clear scope, predictable visits, and a contractor that answers requests. We build proposals around those needs.

I have used Green Acres since 2016 for mowing and landscaping. My lawn is a steep hill and the staff does an amazing job. I have a large mulch area that Green Acres does each spring. I am extremely pleased and recommend them for any lawn care needs.

We have been using Green Acres for our lawn services for just about a year now and our landscaping has never been this good! The team is always on time, speedy and deliverers the services as promised- there has not been one time that we have had to call them for a missed service, incorrect service or any complaint for…

Commercial Property Manager here ! We recently made the switch to Green Acres from another "popular" commercial lawn care company. After increases in pricing and steady decline in services, care, and pride in craftsmanship we knew that it was time to make a change. Green Acres has been great in understanding our needs- we are a dual property with a…

FAQ

HOA landscaping in Wilmington, DE: common questions

Green Acres professional reviewing a plan with a community manager
What does HOA landscaping include?

HOA landscaping usually covers mowing and edging of common areas, entrance and bed care, pruning, mulching, leaf cleanup, seasonal color and weed control. Many communities add irrigation monitoring and winter snow service. We list each task and its frequency in the proposal so the board can compare bids.

How should our board compare landscaping proposals?

Ask each company for the same things: tasks and frequency by season, areas included, how visits are communicated, response to requests, insurance certificates and the billing method. When every bid follows the same outline, differences in scope show up quickly instead of hiding in a single total.

Can you take over from our current landscaper?

Yes. One community of 100 homes told us they brought Green Acres in to replace a lawn service that had been declining. We walk the property, note what the current contractor covers, and write a scope that fits the community and its budget cycle.

Do you handle snow removal for community associations?

Yes. We provide plowing, de-icing and ice control, and associations can ask to include snow in the same proposal as landscape maintenance. See commercial snow and ice management for how contracts are structured and why to sign before the season.

How do you keep the board informed about visits?

A property management client wrote that Green Acres does an excellent job informing them of upcoming visits. Ask us how visit notices and requests are handled for your community, and what updates your board or manager would like to receive.

Do you work with property management companies?

Yes. We work with managers who oversee several communities and with boards that manage on their own. We write a separate scope for each property, so you can keep one point of contact while every community keeps its own schedule and checklist.
