Crewman III is our highest-level crew member position and is designed for experienced landscape professionals who can perform a wide range of landscape maintenance responsibilities independently and at a high level.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform commercial landscape maintenance safely, efficiently, and to Green Acres quality standards
  • Operate commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, edging equipment, pruning tools, and other assigned equipment
  • Understand the expected scope and quality standards for assigned properties
  • Work independently with limited supervision
  • Identify and correct quality issues when appropriate
  • Assist less-experienced employees with proper work methods and equipment operation
  • Help maintain productivity and a positive, professional crew environment
  • Properly care for company equipment, vehicles, tools, and client properties
  • Report safety concerns, damages, equipment problems, or property issues
  • Participate in snow and ice operations as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional landscape maintenance experience or demonstrated equivalent ability
  • Proficiency with commercial landscape maintenance equipment and techniques
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and efficient production
  • Consistent attendance and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and assist other crew members
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Opportunity to Grow: Employees who demonstrate strong communication, accountability, driving, and leadership skills may have opportunities to advance into an Assistant Field Manager position.

The Assistant Field Manager is an experienced landscape professional who supports the Field Manager in leading the crew while remaining a key member of daily field production.

This position is ideal for someone who has developed strong technical skills, demonstrates reliability and initiative, and is ready to develop additional leadership responsibilities.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Field Manager with daily crew organization, production, and quality control
  • Perform commercial mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, cleanup, and related services
  • Help direct crew members and maintain productivity throughout the workday
  • Understand property requirements and help complete work within established budgeted labor hours
  • Inspect work and identify or correct quality concerns
  • Help train less-experienced crew members in proper work methods, safety, and equipment operation
  • Assume additional crew leadership responsibilities when directed
  • Safely operate commercial landscape equipment, trucks, and trailers as authorized
  • Communicate property, equipment, safety, or production concerns
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct at client properties
  • Participate in snow and ice operations as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous professional landscape maintenance experience
  • Proficiency with commercial landscape equipment and maintenance practices
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and work habits
  • Ability and willingness to provide direction to other crew members
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate trucks and trailers as assigned
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Opportunity to Grow: Successful Assistant Field Managers may advance into Field Manager positions based on demonstrated ability and results.

The Field Manager is a hands-on crew leader responsible for safely and efficiently completing commercial landscape maintenance services while leading and developing a field crew.

This position combines landscape expertise with leadership and accountability. Field Managers take ownership of their assigned properties, crew performance, quality of work, productivity, equipment, and the successful completion of each day’s schedule.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, organize, and work alongside a commercial landscape maintenance crew
  • Complete assigned properties according to company quality standards and established budgeted labor hours
  • Direct mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, cleanup, and other landscape maintenance operations
  • Review daily schedules, property requirements, and priorities with the crew
  • Inspect completed work and address quality concerns before leaving the property
  • Train and develop crew members in proper techniques, equipment operation, safety, and productivity
  • Maintain accountability for crew attendance, performance, conduct, and efficient use of labor
  • Safely operate company trucks, trailers, commercial mowing equipment, and other landscape equipment
  • Complete required field documentation
  • Communicate property concerns, equipment issues, damages, and service needs
  • Professionally represent Green Acres when interacting with clients
  • Participate in snow and ice operations as assigned

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional landscape maintenance experience
  • Previous crew leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of commercial mowing and landscape maintenance practices
  • Ability to lead employees while remaining actively involved in field production
  • Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage work according to schedules, property requirements, and budgeted production hours
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely operate trucks, trailers, and commercial landscape equipment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions

Additional Opportunity: Field Managers have an opportunity to earn a biannual performance bonus based on crew labor performance, in addition to weekly performance incentive opportunities for qualifying crews.
